St. Valentine's Story

They first met in 1950 at the beauty contest that Sofia had entered and he was a judge there. She was 16 and he 37 .

My Favorite Things

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels,
door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles.
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings.
these are a few of my favorite things.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes,
snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,
silver white winters that melt into springs,
these are a few of my favorite things.

When the dog bites, when the bee stings,
when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so bad

My life isn't so bad after all...
Looking back today I can see that.
Yes I was lonely most of the time, didn't have many relationships, but.. I had fun... I really did!
And now I'm just in a state of waiting for even more fun. Of course it'll end. Everything has an end. But it's a pity to die without tasting it
